In our constant endeavours to bring you and your children the highest level of care possible the Centre has made the decision to close the Horsham 298 Primary OSHC Service as of Friday 16th February 2018, and open a new service under a new name of Horsham YMCA OSHC at the Rosebrook site on Dimboola Rd beginning Monday 19th February 2018.
Over the last the 12 months have seen the program grow and become the thriving program it is now. We couldn’t have done that without the support of the Horsham Primary School 298 Campus, Horsham Rural City Council and various other community groups including Wimmera Health Care Group, Bunnings, Wimmera Sports Assembly and Drew Heard Bus Company to name a few, so we thank them for their support and hope to continue these partnerships in the future.
This is a very exciting move for us and your children as it will open the service and your children up to new opportunities such as Hook into Hockey and Milo Cricket. We still have the same friendly educators and will be rolling out new and exciting activities. The site has just be refitted out by the Horsham Rural City Council, and children will have access to a spacious indoor area as well as a big oval for the children to play and let their imagination run free. Service Approval has been granted by the Department of Education and Training, which provides the new program with a licence to operate the After School Care and Vacation Care Programs.
This will mean that all children will now go on the bus, for the children that go to Haven Primary School, Horsham West Primary School, St Michaels and St Johns Primary School and Horsham Primary School Rasmussen Campus schools your routine will not be affected at all, everything will stay the same. However for children attending Holy Trinity Lutheran and 298 schools your routine will change slightly. We will still be having an educator up at the 298 campus to meet and greet your children, the only difference is instead of them waiting for the other children to wait for the children to get off the bus they will now be taking the bus at the bus loop and with the other children arriving together at the Rosebrook site.
As this is a brand new service we will need all new enrolment forms filled out as well as routine outing forms which we have linked for easy access for you. Also find a link to the family handbook for the service.
The cost for the service will change slightly as everyone will now be catching the bus, please refer to family handbook for those prices.
If you have any feedback regarding the program, ways to improve it, your feedback is most welcome either through a feedback form at the service or via the service email address.
If you have any concerns please don’t hesitate to call Lisa or Sam at the Horsham Aquatic Centre on 53822576.
